Residual Material Detection
The CNC control accommodates the machining of steep contours, such as 80° plunge-cuts. This can be done, for example, with a large cutter and then removing residual material from the corners using a smaller cutter.
Machine tool operator's advantage:
- Larger tool can be used to quickly remove the bulk of the material.
- CNC control "remembers" the material left. When a tool of the correct size is used, the CNC only cuts the material left over, not the entire shape or pocket, providing more efficient cutting.
- Machining time can be significantly reduced.
